How realistic is sim racing?
Modern simulators model tyres, aerodynamics, weight transfer, and circuits closely enough that professional teams use them for procedure and track familiarity. They cannot reproduce sustained g-forces, physical risk, heat, or full sensory feedback. Realism varies significantly by title, car model, setup, and hardware.

What transfers well
Circuit layout, reference points, braking discipline, race procedure, flag rules, and strategic thinking.
What does not transfer
Physical load, fear management, tyre feel through the body, and the consequences of mechanical failure at speed.
